Destiny Autumn and the Free Will Project
Destiny Autumn Tucker is a dynamic vocalist, instrumentalist and songwriter comfortable in several genres ranging from neo-soul, jazz and funk, to world music. Already an established up-and coming performer, she has worked with Don Braden, Roseanne Vitro, Bobby McFerrin, Janis Siegel, Darmon Meader, Tierney Sutton and Jimmy Heath. She currently studies Jazz voice at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music and is featured regularly at the “Deer Head Inn,” a historical jazz venue located in the Poconos. With her immeasurable talent Destiny embodies what it truly means to be an entertaining singer for all audiences.
Her band, the Free Will Project, is a collection of musicians from cities across the country who met during their time at the Jacobs School of Music. Incorporating the psychedelic neo-soul vibe of Hiatus Kaiyote, the gospel inflections of Aretha, the funk rock fusion of Weather Report, and the percussive elements of Brazilian and Afro-Cuban traditions, Destiny Autumn and the Free Will Project have created a sonic uniqueness that can only be experienced live.
Four Bloomington musicians bonded by a mutual love for neo soul, psych rock, and spice, the recently formed Spice Cowboy cooks up just that. Music that is sensual, spiritual, and sometimes bilingual, it is sure to have you moving your body and expanding your mind. No shortage of spice in this kitchen. Imagine Stevie Wonder, but on DMT.
