Advance Base
—
Owen Ashworth used to release his lo-fi keyboard pop under the name Casiotone for the Painfully Alone, but these days he calls it Advance Base.
Walking the line between electronic music & traditional singer/songwriter forms, Ashworth writes minimalist, heavy-hearted, & nostalgia-obsessed songs of longing & regret. His conversational, baritone vocals sing stories of hard-luck Midwesterners & their demons amid swirls of electric pianos, Omnichords, drum machines & samples.
Advance Base's second album, Nephew in the Wild, was named #1 Indie Pop album of 2015 by PopMatters.

Frank Schweikhardt
—
As long as I've known Frank Schweikhardt he's rarely stayed in the same geographic location for more than 6 months at a time. Whether he's driving a truckload of fireworks around the Bible Belt, cruising around southeast Asia on a newly purchased and perfectly rickety used motorcycle, nursing a mixed drink on the beaches of Costa Rica, or experiencing America in his new job driving gigantic tour buses for bands who have ten times his money and only half his horse sense, Frank is perfectly adept at soaking in the places that make up the world and the people that make up those places.
